The Arabic Writer and Translator will be part of the content team at ArabNet, responsible for writing news and analysis about the digital media and entrepreneurship sectors in the Middle East. This is a unique opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the trends in Arab digital business and to connect with leaders in the domain.
This role reports to the Managing Editor.
Job Description
- Translate all English copy produced by or for ArabNet into Arabic
- Write Arabic articles to be posted on the website
- Edit all Arabic copies produced by or for ArabNet
Skills and requirements
- Outstanding command of the Arabic language
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to combine speed with quality and accuracy
- Actively interested in entrepreneurship, digital technology, event coverage, and other digital topics
- Passion to read and explore news from the tech world
- Minimum 2 years of experience in journalism, translation, or related fields
