A Large Electromechanical Company is seeking for an AutoCAD Mechanical Draftsman to assist the Mechanical Engineers.

Qualifications
- Preferably holder of TS or LT in Mechanics or technical degree in Equivalent
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ Experience in 2D/3D AutoCAD

Tasks
- Assist in Layout of Drawings Mechanical & Electrical Equipment
- Preparation in Layout drawing of piping, drainage, water supply, fire, HVAC etc…..
- Assist in preparation of the 2Ds &3Ds AutoCAD drawing and Creates CAD drawings for engineering projects
- Creates and modifies maps.
- Creates section details

CAD Designer/Draftsman - Qatar

The incumbent will operate a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures. This role will require the designer to work closely with a multitude of Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design and have experience in extra low voltage. In addition the role will require compiling of data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. Reads and understands orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.

Responsibilities
- Prepare design calculations as assigned by the Project Engineer and Sr. CAD designer
- Must have experience working with other disciplines to obtain & develop reference information for drawings.
- Ensures compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
- Name, plot, organize, translate & electronically transfer CAD drawings.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Possess strong Microsoft office processing & computer skills.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Must know and follow all departmental & discipline CAD Standards.
- Possess a good understanding of their discipline work.
- Gather and/or research needed information and specifications from manuals, catalogs & discipline standards.

Qualifications
The incumbent will have a 2 year Technical Degree/Diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. This role requires 3 to 5 years of CAD Designing experience and 2 years minimum in AUTOCAD role. This position will report to the Lead designer and Engineer. Preferred international experience working in the Oil & Gas or Engineering Consulting sector would be an asset.
