The “Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution Program” (PBCR) at the “Forum for Development, Culture and Dialogue” (FDCD), is calling for a part time Internship during – September- October- November - December 2011. Having three running projects, the PBCR program aims to provide youth from Lebanon and from the Arab region with skills and capacity building in preventing and dealing with conflict in order to help building civil peace in their societies.
Notes:
- The duration of the internship could be minimum (60 hours) (Part-time) going up till (3 months) (full time)
- Upon completion of the assignment the interns will be given a letter of recommendation.
- University Students wishing to accomplish the internship period as a requirement of their courses must submit a recommendation paper from the University describing the aim of the internship and the required period.
Eligibility
- Applicants for an internship should be graduate students or holders of a first university degree or their equivalent
- Lebanese applicants should be fluent in Arabic and English
Conditions of assignment
- FDCD will not pay for the internship or any expenses connected with it.
- FDCD will pay partly the transportation cost of the intern
- FDCD accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents or illness incurred during the volunteer assignment. There will be no insurance coverage for interns.
- Interns must keep confidential all unpublished information obtained during the internship and not publish any reports or papers based on such information except with the explicit authorization of FDCD.
