Direct Dialogue Senior Team Leader - Greenpeace - Lebanon

The overall management of the national Direct Dialogue program. Management includes, but is not limited to, strategy, planning, budgeting and day to day management.

Responsibilities
1. Direct Dialogue
- To develop and institute short-term and long-term strategies for the national Direct Dialogue program in consultation with the Fundraising Coordinator
- The overall control and management of the Direct Dialogue budget
- To develop and maintain an ongoing recruiter recruitment strategy to make sure that there are enough recruiters to reach our yearly targets
- The evaluation, hiring, firing, training, retraining and management of Direct Dialogue recruiters and team leaders
- The development and maintenance of an effective ongoing training strategy for recruiters with the aim of increasing motivation and decreasing recruiter attrition. To ensure that the recruiters are updated on Greenpeace campaign issues within the country and worldwide
- The evaluation and location of new and current Direct Dialogue sites/venues in all operational cities. To assist the Fundraising Coordinator in the evaluation of sites in new cities.
- To obtain permission or permits for recruiters to operate in shopping areas, festivals, etc.
- The planning of shifts for all cities. This includes the selection of locations based on performance criteria, the placing of recruiters and the communication between Greenpeace, and the recruiters
- Ensuring the adequate supply and control of appropriate Direct Dialogue materials. Dealing with the availability of the materials to the appropriate cities and locations; (Recruitment folders, IDs, shirts and forms)
- To undertake regular announced and unannounced comprehensive onsite visits to evaluate recruiters
- To receive and record daily feedback from recruiters (Performance, difficulties). Establish/recommend creative solutions to the problems to improve the short/long term results of the Direct Dialogue program and to ensure reaching our targets
- Updating the site list files continuously. Including, recruiters, sites, hours and members
- To keep track of completed forms returning to the office and develop systems to improve this process
- The correlation and authorization of all Direct Dialogue expenses, specifically salaries and payments to the recruiters
- Continuous monitoring of direct dialogue results vs. targets.

2. Reporting
- Assist the Fundraising Coordinator in providing detailed and accurate statistical and analytical reports on a weekly/monthly/annual basis of direct dialogue fundraising program in the Beirut office
- Ensure a monthly reporting of the team's performance, results, and salaries

3. Fundraising
- As a member of the Fundraising Team, maintain a high commitment to Greenpeace values and meeting campaign goals
- As a member of the Fundraising Team, contribute to the development and effectiveness of GP Mediterranean's Fundraising Department and GP Mediterranean as a whole. This includes: developing and implementing department strategies, policies and plans; addressing issues; and supporting and communicating decisions taken by the Fundraising Director other Directors, the Executive Director and the Board
- Maintain productive and effective working relationship with other Fundraising Team members, and keep informed of current best practices in other Greenpeace Fundraising departments

4. Other
- Undertake travel both domestically and internationally as required
- Take part in the overall planning and implementation processes of the campaigns in Lebanon
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Fundraising Coordinator for Lebanon and the Fundraising Director for the Mediterranean office

Skills and Qualifications
- Experience as a Team Leader would be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness and ability to build and manage teams
- Ability to encourage and motivate team members
- Knowledge of the Mediterranean region and respect for other cultures
- Strong technical, communications and public relations skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and thrive in an atmosphere of high departmental expectations
- Knowledge of MS word/excel. Knowledge of database and filing systems is a plus
- Ability to prioritize and organize
- Patience for detailed work
- Positive and flexible nature
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for the environment and Greenpeace
- Ready to work in flexible work hours and weekend cover when necessary

Language: Excellent written and spoken Arabic/English.
