The position will focus on increasing selected value chain competitiveness, increasing access to markets, improved competitiveness of each value chain element, and enhanced business linkages. S/he will be responsible for working and liaising with stakeholders of the project as well as value chain players. S/he will develop programming to promote entrepreneurism, business formalization, and business skills; will conduct business development training activities in order to increase the number of microenterprises participating in USG-assisted value chains.
- Degree in business, marketing, finance, trade or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working to strengthen value chains, facilitating trade, develop private sector linkages with small farmers and farmers’ associations, and marketing of agricultural products
- Prior USAID/donor-funded project experience preferred
- Fluency in English highly preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills
